As our Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Lead, you will be responsible for driving the overall trading performance of our DTC business across both e-commerce and retail channels. You will define the commercial direction for the business, ensuring that P&L, assortment, inventory investment, trading decisions, operational excellence and profitability are aligned with consumer demand and business objectives. In this role, you will lead our e-commerce, retail and planning teams, translating insights into action and building a high-performing trading function and operational effectiveness focused on sustainable growth and commercial excellence.


Your missions :


Trading & Assortment

  • Define and own the DTC assortment strategy across both e-commerce and retail channels to deliver weekly, monthly, quartery and annual budgets through a clear merchandising plan by channel aligned with marketing and category leadership
  • Manage open-to-buy (OTB) with discipline, using in-season performance insights to guide investment decision that deliver weekly sales and margin goals while balancing inventory turn and productivity
  • Take ownership of markdown and promotional decisions within established brand guidelines, understanding and managing the impact on margin performance.
  • Produce a weekly trading review, including performance analysis, recommendations and actions to drive results.


P&L & Performance

  • Own key DTC KPI metrics for all channels, including but not limited to contribution margin, inventory turn, traffic, conversion, AOV and units by transaction
  • Lead the annual forecasting and budgeting process for the channel, aligned with global commercial and finance
  • Develop, implement and defend seasonal trading plans supported by clear KPIs and measurable objectives.
  • Identify and escalate assortment or inventory constraints impacting performance, providing data-driven recommendations and a clear commercial perspective.
  • Drive cost management and ensure disciplined control of operating expenses.
  • Build and Champion business case investment for retail development, digital platform investments and growth marketing spend


Team Management

  • Lead, coach and develop e-commerce, retail and planning teams, setting priorities, removing obstacles and driving accountability for trading outcomes.
  • Build a culture of entrepreneurship, cross-functional influence with the ability to operate in ambiguous fast moving business contexts
  • Attract specialized skill sets, retain and develop Talents by providing continuous mentoring, learning and development


Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner closely with Category Managers to share assortment feedback and consumer sell-through insights, acting as the primary voice of DTC customer demand within the product organization.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to align promotional and campaign activity with trading priorities, ensuring a coordinated and consistent approach.
  • Coordinate with Finance, Sales Operations, Inventory Supply Chain teams on financial and supply chain forecasting
  • Build strong peer to peer relationships with Regional and Country Commercial Leaders to influence and support the global commercial strategies

Profil recherché

Your profile :


Background

  • Proven experience managing open-to-buy, markdown budgets and making commercial trading decisions in a fast-paced business setting.
  • Experience trading across both physical retail and e-commerce channels, with a strong understanding of how assortment and promotional strategies differ by channel while supporting a common commercial objective.
  • Previous experience leading, coaching or developing teams, with the credibility to provide clear direction and influence execution.


Technical Skills

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify opportunities and translate insights into action.
  • A solid understanding of DTC margin drivers, including assortment mix, pricing strategy, promotional activity and sell-through performance.
  • Confidence to challenge, influence and advocate for the best commercial outcome.
  • Comfortably operating within a business where DTC represents a smaller share of overall revenue, with the ability to effectively secure focus, resources and support.
  • Lead through ambiguity, enabling decisive action and cultivating a culture of ownership, initiative, and entrepreneurial thinking.

  • A strong sense of ownership and accountability, treating the DTC business as if it were your own.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, particularly when managing escalation and decision-making.
  • Comfortable leading in ambiguous situations

  • Great interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Excellent command of English, ability to speak Italian/French will be a plus.
